| What do we call your organization "MISA" ('meesah') or
M.I.S.A?That's a good question. We are M.I.S.A. |
What kind of MISA events are there?
Company Nights come
and learn more about job and
internship opportunities at
different companies. These usually
fall on Thursdays at 6:30 and
include free food. Dress is casual.
TGIFs
(Thank Goodness Its Friday)
come and hang out with
recruiters in a casual setting at a
restaurant or bar. These are
usually on Fridays starting from
around 4:30 to 6:00. Dress is
casual.
Social
Events MISA also
sponsors several other purely social
events. Like a Boat Party at the end
of spring.
Volunteer Events get
the chance to lend a helping hand to
the MIS BBA programs and to the
communities.
NOTE:
There are no regularly scheduled
meetings. |
| What am I supposed to wear to your Company Nights? Our
Company Nights are meant to be a very relaxed way for you to meet recruiters.
You can come in whatever you wore to school. |
| What am I supposed to wear to your TGIFs?The

has many different committees that you can join to be more involved. In order
to join a committee simply email the
Newsletter Editor for the Newsletter Committee, the
Publicity Officer for the Publicity Committee, or the
Technology Officer for the Technology Committee.

listed in our events calendar. Once there see the Financial Officer, the financial officer, to pay your dues.
We accept payments in the form of cash or check. |
| What was that thing you said about resumes? If
you attend a company's CN or TGIF we provide them with your resume via our web
site. If you have paid your dues you can submit your resume to our
Technology Officer or login and upload it yourself. |
| What is a tera or giga member? Each
semester the top members are recognized. Tera members are the 10 members with
the most membership points, Giga members are the next 10 with the most service
points. At the end of the semester, the giga members receive prizes and the
Tera members get lunch at Salt Lick with the officers. More info here. |
| What are the requirements to be an officer? To
be the President, first you must be an officer for at least two semesters. The
VP Programs and VP Planning positions require you to be an officer for at least
one semester. All other officer positions will be up for grabs to any paid
member at the end of each semester. The Business Council Representative
position is a year long obligation that is only elected at the end of the
Spring semester. Typically, the most active members tend to win the officer
positions. If you are thinking of running, we strongly encourage you to get
involved by joining the different committees and attending all events. |
